It seems like a good sign that she just swatted her out of the way rather than tore her apart, either something of Ferrah’s mind remains or she doesn’t see Kat as a threat, concentrating on the vampire.
For noises, how about ‘wroooo’? Though that kinda sucks; a NORMAL wolf howling is a terrifying, soul-chilling sound; something like this… Would be on an entirely different level of “Oh shit, this ain’t good”. I mean, if a wolf’s (or, infinitely worse, wolves’) howl(s) can elicit such a powerful, primal level of fear that you didn’t even know was possible, everyone within a few miles of this thing would be immediately going batshit insane, no saving throw allowed.

Actually no, there are LOTS of series where blood is used as a weapon, particularly a bladed weapon. It’s actually fairly commonly seen in vampire mythos these days. See here:
