Con Crunch Time Filler
Sorry guys, as it says in the title, I’ve run into Con Crunch time, where I’m trying to get everything done for Vancoufur, plus freelance design work, plus my day job and social/family stuff and I’m just getting overwhelmed and unfortunately this is one of the few things I can just put aside for a bit until I can get other things sorted out.
I have been working on the next page, but it wasn’t inked in time to go to Che for coloring. I was hoping to avoid 3 weeks of filler, but unless something happens between here and next week that might well be the case. Both Che and I are in full production mode with our Art for the show and con merch, so its like AHHHHHHHHH *flail flail flail*
However, I am doing a very cool Shifter related artwork for the Vancoufur artshow. Preview is above, and I’ll be livestreaming it probably over the week. If you want notifications, please watch me on DA or FA, or follow me on twitter.
It’s going to be a big ass framed canvas print ( 12″ x 20″) that will be on sale at the show. I’ve also got a bunch of other work to sling out before then so.. off I go to make arts. There will be more Shifters once I get this terrible crunch behind me. Wish me luck.

You guys did great last week, voting us up into the top 100 for a while, but it looks like we’re getting a bit beat out again, but we can still make it back I think if everyone remembers to click the vote button for the TWC up there. It really does help new people find us! The numbers of people coming in from TWC since we hit the top 100 were definitely up! Lets keep it that way.

Oopsie. I ment to have this up for last night, but I totally narked on the couch and forgot all about it. I was _very_ tired. But here it is! At long last.
A few things. As Bonu$ commented on the last page, now is a PERFECT time to vote for Shifters on TWC (Topwebcomics.com for those who don’t know) the little blue link button is up there on the top right, just click it and vote, and see if we can’t get a little more exposure. We’ve been hovering round the 250 mark for a while, lets see if we can’t at least push into the 100s. I’d love if we could get to the top 100. I know that usually requires incentive, and I’m thinking on that, but for now, it would be nice to see us get some higher ranking.
Couple of new threads in the forums. Che has started a shipping thread here, and I know there are a least a couple shippers out there reading the comic so go and give her thread some love.
Also got a thread up for some feedback in the RP section. If you are an RPer and are interested in RPing in the Shifters Universe, do check it out and offer your perspective.

It’s a little late, but at least its up. Still working at getting back into the groove here after all that holiday season. Might notice some tinkering going on around on the site over the next while. I’ve been kind of itching to do a redesign for a while, but I haven’t quite exactly figured out what I want to do.. yet. I know I want to clean things up, but at the same time I have ideas for other things I’d like to have up. Decisions, decisions.

There’s a few others we are looking at/attempting for, and one that actually is down in the US, although that one would be just Che. We will announce them as we have confirmation that we’ve got space/are going. Eventually we do hope to do conventions in other places than up here in Vancouver, but we’re still working out the costs of being able to travel and still make enough money to be worthwhile. The last thing I want to do is come back in debt. 😛
We are approaching the end of the chapter. Typically chapters are 30-32 pages, so we’re only about 4-6 pages from being done Chapter 3. We’re also getting close to 100 pages of Shifters Redux! I think its exciting, I know other people probably don’t find it quite as much of a milestone as I do.
At the end of Chapter 3, we’re going to be collecting the pages, adding some bonus pages, adding exclusive print only bonus content and fixing everything up for the first Graphic Novel. I’m hoping for about 110 pages, possibly 120, depending on how much bonus stuff we come up with. Its exciting to finally see this stuff happening.

Sorry this is a bit late guys, still working around Che’s schedule and I’ve been sick, so things kinda got a little out of sorts. Next week could see an interruption in schedule as well as it is a con week, and I’m still sick so I’m not sure if we can get the panel done and colored on time for next week. We’ll see. A few words. Firstly, again, the bonus pages are going to have to be delayed because of schedule. The schedule issue being that Cos & Effect is less than 2 weeks away now ( Aug 24-26 at UBC, Vancouver BC) and I’ve got some prep that needs doing. Regular update will happen as usual, but we can’t do the bonus stuff yet.
Once Mysti’s schedule and mine sync up a bit better, hopefully we can get them done, but right now her schedule is still erratic and I’m swamped with con prep. So sorry about that, but they will happen! Looking more towards September at the moment though.

Here’s your Wed update. Yes. Big Ferrah is big. There’s a side shot there so you can see a rough comparison of size. Also, its kind of a bitch to try to figure out an English equivalent of wolf angry noises. “Bark” sounds too much like a yappy dog. I did my best after listening to some wolf growl/barks. Honestly, this is when I long for animation with, you know, sound.
A few news items. Che and I will be at Jfest this weekend in New Westminster, BC. This is a one day event happening on July 14th from 10-5pm. Admission is $10. There’s a whole bunch going on, (basically its like.. a mini con) SO if you are in the area, come check us out. Secondly, about the bonus update. I know I promised it for this week, buuut I’m going to have to push it back to next week because of J-fest. I really REALLY want to finish the super awesome redo of the old Bloodbath wallpaper for Jfest, but I won’t be able to do it and the bonus update as well most likely. Che also has prep to do. So I’m going to push it to next week and the week after for the scheduled bonus updates. I don’t want to half ass a page because I’m in a rush. Third thing is my good buddy Jakkal, has officially begun her reboot of Black Tapestries. If you were/are a fan, you might want to go bookmark the site for updates.
