Yeah, we’re almost back to the real world, although really, Ferrah’s nightmare is just beginning.

A question I have for everyone and anyone who cares to answer, or at least those who attend conventions. Which convention would you like to see Shifters at? I have to plan these things in advance, and with some with competitive artists alleys, sometimes it takes more than one try (not to mention getting paperwork in order…). So I’m trying to figure out if there are any outside of Vancouver (which are the only one’s I’ve been doing right now), that people would like to see Shifters at.

We’re out of bonus pages for this month, but we’ve got one so far slated for July. If you want to see more bonus pages, consider contributing. Even 5$ gets everyone that much closer to more Shifters!

This should be all very familiar to those who were paying attention to earlier pages. You know, asking questions such as “what is she reaching out for?”.

This is the last bonus page for June. There’s been one bonus page so far for July slated. Remember, we schedule a month in advance, so if you want to see more bonus pages for July, you’ll need to donate in June. Hope you’ve all been enjoying the bonus pages, it has made things go along faster.

And we get another reference to a previous chapter here, the vision in chapter 1, yes, it was Wolf. Catching Ferrah while she was all day dreaming to give her a critical hint to get her ass out of a sling.

In other news, want to congratulate the winners of the Renewing the Circle contest, Anthius, deepbluerenegade and Jae87 are the newest circle members! Another contest will be announced soon for the summer, with real physical prizes! Stay tuned.

We have one more bonus page this week, and there’s been enough donations to bring the total for July bonus pages to 1 so far. So there will be a little break on the bonus pages, which is good, because Mysti and I have to prepare for both Jfest (July 14th) and Cos & Effect (August 24-26).

I had a long post, and then my computer derped and ate it. Dammit. I think it was something poetic about how vampires are kind of a metaphor for rape and highly sexual in nature, so the whole tentacle thing is quasi-appropriate to symbolize the virus invading her body. Also, direct tie in with last chapter. Huzzah.

There is only one more bonus page after this. I’ve had to unfortunately raise the price of bonus pages, as Mysti, our wonderful, amazing, and talented colorist has had some unforeseen life changes which has forced her to increase her prices. Since Shifters takes a long time to colour (about 5-6 hours), and she makes her living exclusively on art, I have to compensate her fairly, so she can you know, stay dry and with power and food and such. But there’s more of you out there, so… remember, every little bit counts!

Ferrah’s dream steadily unravels. Wolf isn’t giving up though!

So its June 6th, which means its the 1 year anniversary of Shifters relaunch from last year! We’ve finished two chapters and are already well on half way over a third. Lots of old and new folk returned to the site, even if things are a little quiet right now, but I think, at least its certainly something to celebrate, along with me getting a year older. XD We’ve made a lot of great progress this year. Something I hope we can keep up for the upcoming year.

I have to really thank each and everyone of you for coming back and reading Shifters, special thanks to those who have helped support it financially and emotionally. Extra special thanks goes to Mysti, Gorble, Sterling, and D for going above and beyond in your respective areas. Here’s to another great year!

Well now you know who he is, although it probably raises more questions than answers at this point. But this is an important moment to Shifters in general. When they meet their patron Dream God. Making more sense now folks?

This weekend is the Free to attend and first annual Vancouver Comic Arts Festival! I’m going to be at table #44 sharing with Ven Seunnapha of Mind-Crash.net. Look for the Evil Space Cat! There is a full list of exhibitors here. So come and check it out!

 

In other news, are you, or someone you know of a programmer/developer persuasion looking for a good, full time job? I have a line on a very good job opening at the firm my brother works at. They are looking for talent and the pay is pretty nice. If you want to know more, shoot me an email and I’ll send you the full details and contact info.

Bonus update with many answers to questions people have been asking. Be patient, all shall be answered! Well a goodly chunk anyway.

The Vancouver Comic Arts Festival is only a scant week or so away, happening May 26-27 at the Roundhouse in Vancouver, BC. I will be there at table 44. I shall post an image of this exact placement next week. Sadly I didn’t get my Shifters books printed in time, but I will have some copies of Brymstone books, and prints, as well as oodles of buttons, artcards, and t-shirts.

Its been an up and down sort of week and has left be a bit out of sorts I’m afraid. Thus I haven’t really gotten to do everything I wanted to and I’m still mulling over the Circle contest details, so sadly I don’t have any further details on that.

You should be able to figure out by the invisible groping where abouts time has been rewound to in Ferrah’s head.

If you haven’t been checking out the forum, Sterling’s just wrapped up the ‘Wrath of World War 1’ story he’s been writing, its pretty epic. Do check it out, along with several other short stories featuring John Sterling. If you don’t know who Sterling is, or forgotten, he’s the last Kinsmir prior to Ferrah.
